The song lyrics above were inspired by Romans 7:15, "For I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate." There are things I do and ways that I react to certain situations that I hate, yet I continue to fall short time and time again, always left with a feeling of guilt.
Jansen and I have been married a little over two weeks now and married life has been awesome! There is nothing better than waking up next to your best friend every single day. Sure, its only been two weeks so those of you who have been married for a while are probably rolling your eyes, but at this point in time, we are loving life. I'm not perfect and neither is she, but that is what's going to make the rest of our lives together so interesting! Lets get real, it would be extremely boring if I married someone who agreed with everything I said.
When I was away on my last trip, I decided to take a new approach to songwriting. Normally, when I try to write I sit down with the intention of not getting up until I have a song or part of a song written. Tuesday nights episode got started with Blake Shelton repping a blonde hair wig, inspired by Adam’s hairstyle. Adam had to laugh as he asked Blake what was on his head. Blake responded with a quick, “Exactly!” Nice one Blake, but let’s let Adam have the blonde hairdo. I don’t think you pull it off too well.
As soon as I saw the opening credits, I was reminded of the nervousness I would feel before each show and all the events that would occur on the day of a live episode. There is truly nothing like it. Again, congratulations to all the contestants that are competing in the Live Playoffs. Before you know it, some of you will be standing on stage during the finale wondering how you ended up there. Time flies when you’re having fun!
Monday nights episode was full of special moments. I didn't get to watch the episode until the following morning, but lets just say it was a great way to start the day! Some contestants let their nerves get the best of them, but others took it to a whole new level.
The Knockouts Premiere Part 2 graced our eyes and ears on Tuesday night as the season 12 contestants continued to sing their best with the goal of making it to the live shows. If any of you current contestants are reading this, here’s a little advice to prepare for lives:
